On the occasion of the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons, observed annually on 30 July, the Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command, in cooperation with its strategic partner, the Aman Center for Women and Children, organized an awareness workshop for taxi drivers to enhance public understanding of the dangers of human trafficking and its serious impact on human rights.

The workshop, delivered by the Anti-Human Trafficking Branch of the Organized Crime Section, provided participants with practical guidance on identifying potential indicators of human trafficking and highlighted the vital role taxi drivers can play in protecting the community. Drivers were encouraged to remain vigilant, cooperate with law enforcement authorities, and promptly report any suspected cases to help protect victims and support efforts to combat this serious crime.

Ras Al Khaimah Police emphasized that the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons serves as an important reminder of the collective responsibility to uphold international and national laws that protect victims, hold offenders accountable, and strengthen coordinated efforts to combat organized crime. The Command reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the UAE's vision of safeguarding human rights, preserving human dignity, and fostering a safe and secure society through continuous awareness, prevention, and community partnership initiatives.
