The Ras Al Khaimah Police General Command arrested two young men, aged 18 and 20, after they were found performing dangerous driving stunts using their private vehicles in one of the emirate’s residential areas, endangering their own lives and the safety of other road users.
The arrests were made following the monitoring and investigation of the incident by the competent authorities. Specialized teams successfully identified and apprehended the individuals involved and impounded the vehicles used in the violations.
Ras Al Khaimah Police confirmed that the case has been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the necessary legal procedures. The General Command stressed that such reckless behavior poses a serious threat to public safety, endangers lives, and puts both public and private property at risk. It reaffirmed its zero-tolerance approach toward any actions that compromise the security and safety of the community.
The police also renewed their warning against dangerous traffic violations, including reckless driving, drifting, sudden swerving, and other irresponsible driving behaviors that threaten road safety.
Ras Al Khaimah Police emphasized that, under the Federal Traffic Law, any person who drives a vehicle in a manner that endangers their own life, the lives and safety of others, or causes damage to public or private property will be subject to legal accountability. Such violations may result in vehicle impoundment and referral of the driver to the competent authorities for appropriate legal action.
The General Command called upon all drivers, particularly young motorists, to exercise responsibility, adhere to traffic laws and regulations, and contribute to maintaining a safe road environment that protects lives and supports the quality of life enjoyed by the community.
